Enable 8.3 format on NTFS volumes, or make sure that the client computer account can access the source files. This setting is controlled via the registry key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\FileSystem\NtfsDisable8dot3NameCreation.

Solution 1: You must enable NTFS 8.3 notation on the client. To do this, set the value of HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SYSTEM \ CurrentControlSet \ Control \ FileSystem \ NtfsDisable8dot3NameCreation to 2 and restart the client.

Solution 2: You must enable NTFS 8.3 notation on the client. To do this, run the following command from a command prompt: “fsutil behavior set disable8dot3 1”. Then restart the client.
